Ulta Product Haul Review

We all know I love playing in and testing out ALL beauty products. I love to find what works BEST for me and sharing my results. A few weeks ago, I ordered 5 new things from Ulta! I've been using them for about a week and a half, and I'm ready to share my thoughts and finds! Sharing all the thoughts and details below on my latest Ulta haul.

1. Tarte Shape Tape

- Rating: 9/10

I have seen SO many people talk about the Tarte shape tape contour concealer and I just HAD to check it out for myself. Here's what I've found.

1. It has GREAT coverage.

2. It brightens and smoothes under eye bags and dark circles.

3. It is easy to blend into your foundation!

Now, if you've followed any of my videos on Instagram, then you know I love my bareMinerals Concealer. I knew when I got the shape tape I'd want to compare them, but I didn't know I'd LOVE using them together. Does that mean you have to purchase both for them to work? NO. They both work great individually, but can be a power couple together!

2. L'Oréal Lumi GLotion

- Rating: 8/10

I saw one of my favorite Instagram influencers using this product and wanted to see what it did for myself.

1. It's buildable! You can use it for a light highlight all over your face or you can use more and apply it in layers to give your face an overall "tan."

2. It's not labeled a primer, BUT it works just as well for me.

3. It's VERY budget friendly! Only $12.74 at Ulta.

Too me, the Smashbox radiance primer and the L'Oréal Lumi lotion does close to the same thing! Both give off a bronzing/illuminating effect when using under your makeup. If you struggle with creases or your makeup running when you get hot, then I would say get the Radiance primer. If you're just looking for a natural glow under your makeup or something to give you a glow without makeup, then the Lumi Glotion is for you.

3. Jergens Instant Sun

Rating: 9/10

I was skeptical to use this because I've not had great luck with a mousse like this before. Normally, they dry me out and cling heavily to my dry patches/eczema. Overall, I've been VERY pleased with this!

1. It doesn't leave marks on your clothes if you let it dry.

2. It doesn't cling to eczema. It actually does the opposite and won't cover it at all. (This didn't bother me because when I tan in the sun I still have patches that are whiter because of my eczema)

3. It looks SO natural and isn't orange!

Deciding which of these to use is solely personal preference because they both do such a great job. If you have time to moisturize and then apply the instant sun mousse, then you'll love that one! If you need something that does the job of moisturizing AND giving you a tan then the natural glow lotion is for you! I will probably keep both in my cabinet to swap up and use on different days depending on my schedule. Both are very budget friendly and get the job done.

4. Ulta's Bronze Glow Self Tanning Mitt

Rating: 7/10

I bought this mitt because it was cheap. It was only $5.99. Thats all there is to it. I have bought a $15 mitt before and honestly, this one works just as well. I can already tell this one won't last a long time though. Depending on your budget and how long you want to use it will be your sign of which to buy.

5. Tarte Shape Tape Waterproof Body Makeup

I was SO excited about this product! I heard so many people talk about it and I was ready to try it! It's supposed to help with an even skin tone and concealing stretch marks or small imperfections on your body. This was a FAIL on my part. I should've read the ingredients BEFORE I bought it. It has black walnut shell in it and I'm deathly allergic to tree nuts. I'm SO sad I can't use it, but I have great plans for it so stay tuned!
